Our Services
SAFE offers a variety of services based on the needs of clients. All services for survivors are free and available to anyone who has experienced domestic and/or sexual violence in their lifetime.
Support Groups
Our support groups offer a safe, confidential space for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to connect, share, and heal alongside others who understand. These groups provide emotional support, encouragement, and practical tools for healing.
Each session focuses on empowerment, resilience, and breaking isolation—helping survivors process their experiences and move forward at their own pace. Whether you're just beginning your healing journey or continuing the work, you are welcome here.
Child Advocacy
Children who experience or witness domestic violence and sexual abuse need care and support to heal. Our child advocates are trained to provide a safe, nurturing environment where young survivors can begin to feel heard, protected, and empowered.
Through age-appropriate advocacy, we help children understand their experiences, express their emotions, and build healthy coping skills. We also work closely with the parents to support the whole family’s path to healing.
Every child deserves to feel safe and we’re here to help make that possible.
Case Management
Our case management services provide personalized, one-on-one support to help survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault navigate the many challenges they may face on the path to safety and stability.
Case managers work alongside survivors to identify goals, create safety plans, and connect them with essential resources such as housing, employment, navigating the legal system, medical care, and more. Each plan is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual or family, with compassion and respect at the center of every step.
24-Hour Hotline
Our 24-hour hotline is available to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as their loved ones, who need immediate assistance, information, or someone to talk to.
Whether you're in crisis, seeking shelter, or just need to be heard, our trained advocates are here to provide confidential, compassionate support around the clock. You are never alone—we’re always here to help.
Domestic Violence Intervention Program
The Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) offers men and women the opportunity to examine their behaviors in a structured, supportive environment. This 26-week program, led by a trained facilitator, focuses on understanding the dynamics of power and control in abusive relationships—not simply managing anger.
DVIP is a vital step in breaking the cycle of abuse, helping participants take accountability and build healthier patterns of behavior. Groups meet separately by gender to explore the same core topics while addressing individual responses and experiences in a respectful, nonjudgmental setting. The men’s DVIP Group meets every Wednesday from 5pm-6:30pm. Participants are typically referred by other agencies, but it is open to self-referred clients as well. Please contact us for more info on the women’s DVIP group.
Educational Training
At SAFE, we are committed to raising awareness and educating the public about the realities of domestic and sexual abuse in our community. While it can be difficult to acknowledge, abuse affects far too many individuals—often in silence.
We believe that education is a powerful tool in breaking the cycle of violence. Our team offers presentations and trainings for workplaces, schools, community groups, churches, and other organizations. Together, we can build a more informed, compassionate, and proactive community.
Hospital Support
SAFE provides compassionate support and advocacy to survivors during hospital visits related to sexual or domestic violence. Our trained advocates are available to be present during medical exams—including forensic evidence collection (rape kit)—to ensure survivors feel heard, informed, and supported throughout the process.
We also assist with communication between hospital staff, law enforcement, and family members, always prioritizing the survivor’s comfort, privacy, and choices.
This service is available 24/7 through our confidential hotline at 828-885-7233. You are not alone—we’re here whenever you need us.
