Creating a Legacy of Support for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence

Did you know that you can include SAFE in you will? SAFE recieves many donations annually through various means including, events, monetary donations, The Attic and Attic Too, grants, and even through estate planning.

So what can you leave for SAFE in your estate? Individuals can leave financial assets such as cash, stocks, or bonds, real estate, personal property such as vehicles, furniture, or other items, or you can even name SAFE as the beneficiary in a life insurance policy or on a retirement account. When naming SAFE as a beneficiary in your estate, be specific as to what items you want the organization to recieve and how much you want them to recieve (a percentage, whole dollar amount, or the remainder after all debts are paid off).

When you donate to SAFE through estate planing you get to create a lasting legacy beyond your life time. SAFE relies heavily on donations in order to continue its work of supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence through prevention, education, adovacy, and empowerment. Without generous supporter, SAFE could not continue to provide necessary services to Transylvania County.

Please feel free to call 828-885-7233 for more information on adding Shelter Available for Family Emergencies (SAFE), Inc of Transylvania County to you will.

SAFE does not provide legal advice and encourages you to speak with an atorney for specific details surrounding estate planning.
